Grzegorz’s special areas of expertise are merger&acquisitions, buy-outs, business start-ups, investments joint venture agreements, private equity and compliance issues, as well as post-transactional litigation. Grzegorz has been working in the field of M&A for over 20 years. He has worked with companies of all sizes, helping them to maximize the value of their deals.

During his career at Allen&Overy, Grzegorz worked on some of the most significant transactions in Poland such as privatization projects, takeovers, joint ventures and greenfield projects. This gave him knowledge and necessary experience in the field of M&A, so when the market went down and high-stakes litigation started in Poland, Grzegorz was on the good path to be able to look at these complex business issues and strategically think of presenting them in the courtroom. He was involved in large and complex litigation battles in Poland, including several high-profile arbitration cases.

Grzegorz also has significant experience in property restitution claims. He regularly represents foreign families in cases seeking compensation or the return of immovable properties nationalised by the Polish communist government just after World War II. Recently, he represented the heir of a factory owner in pursuing compensation from a Polish municipality regarding its decision to nationalise the business.

Grzegorz is named as a leading private client lawyer in Poland in Chambers HNW and the Legal 500 directories. Sources regard him to be “highly professional and knowledgeable”.

Prior to establishing Woźniak Legal, between 1993 – 2007 Grzegorz worked as a senior associate at Allen & Overy in Warsaw.
